The Provolt M4850ND-P combines a powerful 50A buck-boost DC-DC charger with a high-capacity MPPT solar controller in one compact unit.

Designed for caravans, motorhomes, 4WDs and mobile power systems, the M4850ND-P automatically supports 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V house battery systems, making it an ideal charging solution for both conventional 12V installations and modern higher-voltage battery systems.

Buck-Boost DC-DC Charging

Unlike a conventional DC-DC charger, the M4850ND-P can increase or decrease the charging voltage as required.

This provides significantly greater flexibility where the B1 / House Battery operates at a different voltage from the B2 / Starter Battery.

Both B1 and B2 support automatic 12V / 24V / 36V / 48V system recognition, while the B2-to-B1 charging stage uses buck-boost technology.

Built-In High-Capacity MPPT Solar Charging

The integrated MPPT controller eliminates the need for a separate solar regulator and supports substantial solar arrays:

This makes the M4850ND particularly well suited to larger RV electrical systems where substantial solar capacity is required.

Designed for LiFePO₄

Dedicated Li12, Li24, Li36 and Li48 settings make setup straightforward, with no Bluetooth connection required to select the appropriate lithium profile.

The appropriate lithium profile can be selected directly from the charger using the built-in function button and LED indicators.

Bi-Directional Charging

The M4850ND-P can transfer charging power in both directions between the house and starter batteries.

During normal driving, the B2 / Starter Battery charges the B1 / House Battery. Under suitable conditions, the charger can reverse operation and allow the House Battery to support the Starter Battery.

LED indicators clearly show the active charging direction.

Smart & Conventional Alternator Compatible

The M4850ND-P can be used with both conventional and smart alternators.

An IGN/D+ input is provided for smart-alternator installations, while conventional alternator operation can be controlled automatically according to starter-battery voltage.
